The past ten years have seen little change in the scale of discrimination in Montenegrin society. A third of Montenegrin citizens do not want to live in the same country as members of the LGBT population, and almost 43% do not consider LGBT individuals should hold the same rights as other citizens. Members of the Roma population also suffer discrimination, as well as disabled and elderly citizens. This information is published in the recent report of the EU and Council of Europe: Patterns and scale of discrimination in Montenegro for 2020. The research was done by the NGO Center for Democracy and Human Rights – CEDEM,  we will hear from Milena Bešić, the Center’s Executive Director.
