For the possible lack of all necessary answers and in this kind of vicinity, it can easily happen that both the “left”, in relative decline, and the “right”, in relative incline, as well as the relatively non-existent “center” – all reach once again for the nation and demarcations as the only, and at the same time most precisely wrong, simple regional answer to complicated global questions.
Sometimes it is more complicated to explain that the answer is not simple, but to give a simple, wrong answer. So, when discussing strengthening of the right wing in the region, it makes sense to complicate things a little bit with global news. Here:
The media reports that the Supreme Court of the United States could make a decision to revoke the right to abortion given by the verdict of Roe v Wade from 1973. That would, simply put, mean that abortion will not be allowed in half of US states. With the stroke of a pen, the liberal-ruled country could become one of the most illiberal in the world.
Geographically in the same place, super-rich Elon Musk bought the social network Twitter for a mere 44 billion USD. What this has to do with our topic insofar is that this individual owner of a mass think tank has now chosen to think that liberals have become too liberal. And so he, as a self-proclaimed measurement of liberalism, became a moderate conservative without changing his views at all. He explained this theory, probably in honor of the billions spent, with the help of several Stick men.
Can’t be any easier. Or more well known.

During the first separation of the left from the right – when supporters of the King sat on the right in the French Parliament, and supporters of the republican revolution sat on the left – one could not have even dreamed of the direction it would all take. Some monarchies have become institutional protectors of democracy, while presidents of some republics have become kings with the hereditary right to preside. Drafts for republican-party emperors are also felt in this vicinity of ours, not to name them here and now.
Even the long-left Karl Marx would be quite confused today. He would look in vain for the working class where he foresaw the class revolution, because in the meantime the global proletariat has almost completely been employed in China. There they work under the watchful eye of local capitalists, whom are issued the Getting rich and Working permits by none other than the Communist Party. The global transformation of left-right relations would confuse both opponents and supporters of fascism and nazism, because these ideologies have meanwhile become mere excuses and epithets which – except for the revision of the disbandment of the USSR – are now consequently mostly used for wealth accumulation through increased prices oil, gas and everything else related to that. Meaning, everything
Even those who would try to orient themselves on the liberal-conservative axis would not have too much success. Proponents of a flat Earth present themselves as liberal liberators from the outdated and conservative conspiracy that the Earth is round; vaccination is interpreted as conservative enslavement to health freedoms; and both the majority and the minority have swapped places in search of protection of endangered rights. In this world where, due to the lack of definitions, everything received the prefixes “neo-” and “post-“, two faces of the same ideological disorientation are today’s neo-left and post-right (as well as reverse combinations).

And so we finally reach this vicinity of ours, for centuries willing to, like any good periphery, follow the “global fashion” when it comes to left-right ideological relations, which are created in the faraway civilisational centres. But there is confusion in the center, and multipolar centers have multiplied. As well as questions that need to be answered before one even becomes left or right. For or against abortion? Does the global economy have local barriers, by who and of what kind? Who is the minority, who is the majority, who is the class, who is the gender, whose rights are in question and how protected are they? Religion, atheism …? And what about the climate? And for the possible lack of all necessary answers and in this kind of vicinity, it can easily happen that both the “left”, in relative decline, and the “right”, in relative incline, as well as the relatively non-existent “center” – all reach once again for the nation and demarcations as the only, and at the same time most precisely wrong, simple regional answer to complicated global questions. We have already been Stick Men once, it’s not an issue to do it again. We just need to be re-drawn.
Elon, grab a pencil.
